BOLOGNA AND THE TAROT

On November 24, 2021 at 5:30 pm at the Archiginnasio Library - Sala Stabat Mater in Piazza Galvani 1 in Bologna, the book BOLOGNA will be presented

On November 24, 2021, at 5:30 pm at the Archiginnasio Library - Sala Stabat Mater in Piazza Galvani 1 in Bologna, the book BOLOGNA AND THE TAROT will be presented by Prof. Andrea Vitali, medievalist and historian of symbolism
Speakers:
Alberto Beltramo, archivist and librarian at Casa Lyda Borelli;
Morena Poltronieri and Ernesto Fazioli, directors of the International Tarot Museum.
Reservation required, limited seats.

Currently, many historians recognized at the academic level as leading experts on the subject attribute the origin of tarot cards to the city of Bologna. For this reason, the publishers felt the need to publish this volume, which comprehensively presents, through largely unpublished documents, the close relationship that connects these cards to Bologna. A duty but also a necessity, since nowadays, far from being forgotten, tarot cards exert considerable worldwide attraction, for the art with which they have been and continue to be made, for their philosophical content, as well as their literary, psychological, and anthropological aspects. A cultural phenomenon that spread from Bologna to the world and which is felt as necessary for the world to know about.
