The Gods and Heroes of ancient Greece provide a vision from the perspective of Depth Psychology because they take into consideration both “the powerful inner archetypes” and “the stereotypes” that allow us to understand “where our conflicts are and how we can acquire our integrity.” The Arcana, numbering 31, were suggested by analytical psychologist Prof. Giovanni Gocci. The mythological study and graphic-symbolic research for the creation of the cards are the work of Giorio Anna Maria Gioia. The images were freely taken from the 'red-figure' vase painting on a black background, introduced in Athens in 530 B.C., which reached a high level of artistic quality.
The deck consists of 31 arcana divided into 5 groups:
 The Ancient Gods (5 cards); The Olympian Gods (15 cards); The Deities of Destiny (3 cards); The Heroes (4 cards); The Elements (4 cards).

Gods and Heroes of ancient Greece provide a unique vision into the perspective of Deep Psychology because they take into consideration both "the powerful internal archetypes" and "stereotypes" that allow us to understand "where our conflicts are and how we can best assimilate our integrity ". These thirty-one Arcana have been suggested by analytical psychologist Prof. Giovanni Gocci. The mythological study and graphic-symbolic research, for the realization of these cards, are the work of Giorio Anna Maria Gioia. The images were freely borrowed from the 'red-figure' vascular paintings on black backgrounds, introduced in Athens in 530 B. C. which achieved a high level of artistic value.
