Da poco abbiamo acquisito un nuovo mazzo davvero speciale e prezioso che arricchisce la nostra collezione e rappresenta un pezzo di arte e storia. Una ragione in più per visitare il Museo dei Tarocchi. Nel 1940 e nel 1941 André Breton, insieme ad altri artisti surrealisti (René Char, Oscar Dominguez, Victor Brauner, Max Ernst, Jacques Hérold, Wilfredo Lam, André Masson, Benjamin Péret) sentì fortemente la rovina che la guerra stava portando. Da ciò nacque l’esigenza di creare un nuovo mazzo di Tarocchi cambiando totalmente le simbologie. Il patriarcato aveva portato nuovamente a una lotta armata, per cui era necessario trasformare il mondo vecchio, entrando in un’epoca ove il femminile, non di genere, ma come elemento sensibile, avrebbe potuto salvare il mondo. Le Fiamme rappresentavano l'amore, le Ruote la rivoluzione, le Stelle i sogni e le Serrature la conoscenza. Le Fiamme erano collegate a Baudelaire, alla Monaca portoghese e Novalis; le Stelle a Freud, Alice e Lautréamont; le Ruote a Pacho Villa, Lamiel e Sade; le Serrature Hegel, Hélène Smith, Paracelso. A new entry in the collection of the Tarot Museum: the Surrealist Tarot We have recently acquired a very special new deck that enriches our collection and represents a piece of art and history. One more reason to visit the Tarot Museum. In 1940-1941 André Breton, with other surrealist artists (René Char, Oscar Dominguez, Victor Brauner, Max Ernst, Jacques Hérold, Wilfredo Lam, André Masson, Benjamin Péret), strongly felt the ruin that the war was bringing. From this arose the need to create a new Tarot deck by totally changing the symbols. Patriarchy had once again led to an armed struggle, for which it was necessary to transform the old world, entering an era where the feminine, not of gender, but as a sensitive element, could have saved the world. The Flames represented love, the Wheels revolution, the Stars dreams and the Locks knowledge. The Flames were linked to Baudelaire, the Portuguese Nun and Novalis; the Stars to Freud, Alice and Lautréamont; the Wheels to Pacho Villa, Lamiel and Sade; the Locks to Hegel, Hélène Smith, Paracelsus.
