Carl Larsson (Stoccolma 28 maggio 1853 – Gemelli) è un poeta del disegno folletto. Un mago che dà voce al tratto che abita all’interno del cuore. Un segno d’acquerello che con l’acqua commuove il colore, fino a farlo diventare magia. Una magia che lega. Unisce l’albero alle sue radici. Lui, la sua donna ed i suoi sette figli. Uno per ogni pianeta del cielo antico. Tutti descritti dalla sua mano sapiente, con lo sfondo della sua casa a Sundborn. È un fumetto per adulti un po’ bambini, che nelle storie di un volto soave scorgono tra la chioma il mito di un’epopea pagana mai assopita. Amava chiamare i suoi disegni ‘pezzettini di carta’, nella convinzione che sarebbero diventati, poi, gioielli. Morì nella sua casa del Sole il 22 gennaio 1919.

Carl Larsson (Stockholm May 28, 1853 - Gemini) is a poet of elfic design. A magician who gives voice to the drawing that dwells within the heart. A sign of watercolor that moves with the water color, until it becomes magic. A spell binding. Joins the tree to its roots. He, his wife and his seven children. One for each planet of the ancient sky. All described by his skilful hand, with the background of his home in Sundborn. He liked to call his drawings 'bits of paper', in the belief that they would become, then, jewelery. He died at his home in Sun January 22, 1919.
