This is a moving tribute to the history of witches, conceived by Morena Poltronieri, whose images are taken from well-known international works of art. Some of these cards have powerful images of witches, of their healing powers; while others reflect the devastating and tragic history of innocent women, herbalists, and healers. Some images of the cards have been enhanced by the author with colored pencils or watercolors. The deck is printed on matte cardstock, characteristic of the special editions of the Museo dei Tarocchi.

Some of these card images were enhanced by hand with colored pencils or watercolors. The deck is printed on textured, matte art stock, distinctive of these Museo dei Tarocchi special editions, and adds to their tactile ascetic.
