The deck was created taking inspiration from 22 iconic images from the historic text DEN ÆLDRE EDDAS GUDESANGE (1895) with drawings by Lorenz Frølich. The book is a Danish translation of the Scandinavian poem POETIC EDDA which contains the basis of Norse mythology. Each arcane was correlated with a verse from the text, which was then included in Danish / English / Italian in the leaflet accompanying the deck, with brief notes on the relative meaning. A small gem seals the package.
